Good to know

When you enter The Lost Sierra Lodge, the home opens up with warm gathering spaces, natural light, and room for everyone to spread out comfortably. The layout was intentionally designed for groups - making it easy to spend time together while still having multiple places to relax, play, or step outside. Some guests gravitate to the pool hall, others to the great room or deck, but the Lodge flows naturally between spaces so no one ever feels crowded. ------------------- Great Room – Kitchen, Dining & Living------------------- The great room is where most groups naturally come together - for shared meals, movie nights, or winding down after a day out. A spacious open layout includes comfortable seating, a 75-inch Smart TV with guest mode, and a wood stove for cozy evenings. Multiple charging stations with USB-A, USB-C, and standard outlets are positioned throughout the room. A guitar is always available for guests who want to play, and a piano restoration is currently in progress. ------------------- Pool Hall ------------------- A dedicated entertainment space designed for relaxed evenings and easy group hangouts. The pool hall features an 8-foot pool table, bar seating, and a comfortable lounge area. A Bluetooth soundbar sets the atmosphere, and French doors open directly to the deck and gas fire pit - creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. ------------------- Game Room ------------------- A professional 8-person poker table anchors the game room and often becomes the center of late-night competition. Chips and cards are provided, and the convertible top functions as a puzzle or game table. When needed, this space can also serve as additional dining room seating for larger meals. ------------------- Fully Stocked Kitchen & Dining ------------------- This kitchen was built for real group cooking - not just reheating leftovers. The space is fully equipped to prepare meals for up to ten guests, with complete place settings for everyone. You’ll find both formal and disposable dinnerware, including plates, bowls, wine glasses, tumblers, flatware, and steak knives. Cooking & prep equipment includes: - 14-piece ceramic cookware set - Knife block with sharpener - Cutting boards, baking trays, muffin tins - Mixing bowls, measuring cups, and a wide range of utensils Small appliances: - KitchenAid stand mixer - Blender - Rice cooker - Popcorn machine (bring kernels) - Crockpots - Air fryer / toaster oven combo The pantry is stocked with over 20 spices and staples, including BBQ rubs, flour, sugars, pancake mix, and maple syrup to keep cooking simple. A dedicated coffee & tea station includes a drip coffee maker, K-Cup machine, complimentary coffee and pods (including decaf), an electric kettle, and Earl Grey and green tea. A built-in desk with USB charging is integrated into the cabinetry, and the Wi-Fi router is centrally located for strong, reliable coverage throughout the home. ------------------- Wraparound Deck & Backyard ------------------- The expansive wraparound deck is a favorite gathering spot, offering outdoor dining for ten, a BBQ grill, a gas fire pit, and a 7-person hot tub (please bring your own pool towels). In the backyard, two disc golf baskets provide a casual activity between meals or outings. ------------------- Bedrooms ------------------- Each bedroom is designed for real group travel — comfortable, quiet, and easy to settle into for multi-night stays. Every room includes freshly replaced hospitality-grade linens, four pillows per bed (two firm, two soft), room-darkening curtains, full-length mirrors, luggage racks, and nightstands with USB-A, USB-C, and standard outlets. Storage is provided through closets, drawers, or dressers. All upstairs bedrooms include ceiling fans. Bedroom 1 – Downstairs King bed, two luggage racks, under-bed wheeled drawers, coat rack. Bedroom 2 – Lofted Primary (Pool Hall Below) King bed with en-suite bathroom and sitting area. Wedding dress hook provided. This is a lofted, open primary suite overlooking the pool hall below, offering space and light rather than full sound separation. Disposable earplugs are placed on each nightstand. The walk-in closet includes shelving, hangers, emergency fire ladder, heaters, extra fans, blankets, and supplies for children and dogs. Bedrooms 3 & 4 Queen beds, closets with shelving and hangers, ceiling fans. Each room includes an additional twin air mattress. Bedroom 5 Full bed with dresser and ceiling fan. ------------------- Bathrooms ------------------- Each bathroom is stocked with fresh towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup cloths, and hairdryers. Charging stations (USB-A, USB-C, and outlets) and excellent lighting make getting ready easy - especially for weddings or nights out. Bathroom 1 – Downstairs Shower/tub combo with attached laundry room. Bathroom 2 – Primary En Suite Standing shower, separate jetted tub, and wide vanity mirror. Bathroom 3 – Upstairs Large shower/tub combo with extended mirror. ------------------- Infants ------------------- We provide a high chair and a Pack ’n Play. Please bring your own baby bedding. Outlets throughout the home have infant safe covers. ------------------- Our Story & Local Connections ------------------- This home is more than a rental. Built by my parents in the late 1980s, it remains a deeply cared-for family property. Renting it seasonally allows us to preserve a place that has been part of our family’s story for generations. Our roots in the Lost Sierra go back to the 1800s, and we love sharing what makes this area special - from golf courses and wedding venues to trails, breweries, scenic drives, and optional in-home services like yoga, bartending, and catering. After booking, you’ll receive access to our digital guidebook, packed with thoughtfully curated local recommendations to make planning easy and your stay exceptional.

Other Details to Note

Dog Policy Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval. A fee of $50 per dog per stay applies, as shown in the listing. All dogs must be included in your reservation so the home can be prepared properly. If evidence of an undisclosed animal is found, the host may request reimbursement for the documented costs of additional cleaning or damages through Airbnb’s Resolution Center. This helps us protect our cleaners, future guests, and the quality of the home. Winter Travel and Snow Removal This is a true mountain property, and winter weather is part of the experience. From November through April, guests should be prepared for snow and changing conditions. Depending on the weather, 4WD or AWD with snow tires and/or chains may be required. Our standard Airbnb cancellation policy applies, and refunds are not provided for weather, snow depth, or road conditions. We make a reasonable effort to keep the driveway and access road cleared as accumulation builds, but snow removal is not a guaranteed amenity. Conditions may vary during storms and delays are possible. Shovels are provided for walkways, decks, and light snowfall. Guests are responsible for preparing appropriately for mountain conditions and using caution and proper footwear when moving around the property. Most guests have no issues at all, but preparation is important during winter months. Security Cameras For guest safety and property protection, there are two exterior cameras on site. One is located above the front door and the other faces the driveway and parking area. Cameras record exterior entry areas only. There are no cameras inside the home or in any private spaces. Footage may be used to verify occupancy limits, pet policies, and house rules. Cleaning A standard cleaning fee of $250 applies to all reservations. For stays longer than eight nights, a required mid-stay cleaning will be scheduled on the ninth day ($250). This maintains the home and ensures it remains in good condition for longer reservations. It is not a daily housekeeping service. RV Hookup RV parking is permitted with prior approval. RVs may not be used to increase guest occupancy. A hookup is available for $50 per night when arranged in advance. This fee will be requested through Airbnb’s Resolution Center after booking. Early Check-In or Late Check-Out We’re happy to offer early check-in or late check-out when we can. Because of the size of the home and the time required for a full turnover, approving this often limits our ability to accommodate a reservation the night before or after. In some cases, such as when we have a same-day arrival or departure, an expedited turnover may be available as a $100 upgrade, but this can’t be confirmed until closer to your stay. Availability depends on our cleaning schedule and adjacent bookings, and when possible, we’re happy to accommodate these requests.

We enjoyed our stay at this home. Everything worked great. Loved the location. Hot tub, pool table, corn hole boards and gas fire are a very nice touch to this home. Home and description of their home is spot on. Great place. Would happily stay here again. Travis and Brittany are great at communicating with you.
