07 / PUTTING, PRACTICE & FAMILY RIVALRIES
Little putts.
Big family bragging rights.
Graeagle Golf Center pairs an 18-hole miniature golf course with a driving range beside a wildflower meadow. Let the family settle a friendly rivalry, give a beginner a low-pressure introduction, or work through a bucket without booking a full round.
A different kind of golf outing, separate from the Classic. Check the center’s current opening days and range availability before you go.

YOUR GROUP'S HOME BASE
The best part?
You all come back to the same place.
Your whole crew has a place to land between rounds: shared meals from the stocked kitchen, a pool-hall rematch, a hot-tub soak, and an easy evening together. Stay close to Graeagle and Portola golf while making the time off the course just as memorable.

A FLEXIBLE TWO-ROUND GETAWAY
Build a weekend. Leave room for the good parts.
01 / ARRIVE
Settle in together.
Stock the kitchen, unpack the clubs, and keep the first evening easy. Have an early tee time before check-in? Ask the hosts whether a cooler drop-off can be arranged. For grocery delivery, confirm the service and arrival arrangements in advance.
02 / FIRST ROUND
Play your anchor course.
Reserve the round your group is most excited about. Leave time for the drive, warm-up, and the course’s arrival requirements.
03 / CHANGE THE SCENERY
Choose a different second day.
Pair contrasting courses, choose a shorter nine, or give nongolfers their own lake or village outing. Keep the schedule comfortable for everyone.
04 / UNWIND
Make the evening count.
Cook dinner, compare scorecards over a pool-hall game, or settle into the hot tub. The time together after golf is part of the getaway.
Adapt the order to your tee times, stay length, and the Lodge's current minimum-stay requirements.
2027 INAUGURAL SEASON / EXCLUSIVE TO LODGE GUESTS
Make the Lodge your mountain clubhouse. Settle a friendly trip rivalry, submit a great round to the season-long competition, and give your next golf getaway a story worth bringing home.
01 / YOUR GROUP
Crown your
Trip Champion.
Your friends. Your format. Your bragging rights.
Each participating group chooses a private Trip Champion, who receives a custom Classic rope hat. Your group sets its own format.
One group award. A story to carry home.
02 / THE SEASON
Become
The Lost Sierra Legend.
The overall winner receives a premium personalized driver headcover, Hall of Champions recognition, and 10% off one eligible 2028 stay, up to $500.
Course Champion honors
Four additional annual Course Champions receive a personalized fairway-wood headcover and 5% off one eligible 2028 stay, up to $250.
The Lost Sierra Legend also holds the fifth course title and receives the Legend package rather than a second Course Champion prize. Annual awards require verified eligible entries. The hat is a separate group award; it does not earn a lodging discount. 2028 awards do not stack, and holiday weekends require advance host approval. Official Competition Rules govern.
A REASON TO RETURN
$50 for a first qualifying stay. $100 for a qualifying return.
For eligible first-time and returning guests on qualifying April–May or October–November stays. Normal minimum stays and exclusions apply; offers do not stack. Ask the hosts about eligibility and booking terms.
BEFORE YOU PACK THE CLUBS
Good questions. Straight answers.
Do we book golf through the Lodge?
Reserve your stay with the Lodge and arrange tee times separately with each course. Lodging does not include green fees, carts, meals, or guaranteed tee times. Confirm current inclusions and cancellation terms with the golf provider.
When is the golf season?
Local courses operate seasonally. Opening and closing dates depend on snow, weather, maintenance, and course conditions. Check directly with each course for your actual travel dates, especially in spring and fall.
Which course should a mixed-skill group choose?
Start by comparing the setting and tee options rather than picking by back-tee yardage. Whitehawk and Graeagle Meadows offer different valley experiences; Feather River Park gives you a shorter alternative. Talk to the golf shop about the tees and format that fit your group.
What if some of us do not golf?
Build an itinerary that works for everyone. Graeagle shops, the Mill Pond, a local meal, mini golf, or a slower morning at the Lodge can sit alongside the golf plan. Meet up afterward rather than asking everyone to spend the whole day at a course.
What should we bring for mountain golf?
Bring sun protection, water, comfortable golf clothing, and a light layer. Check the forecast, course dress code, and current cart policies. Choose tees that suit your normal playing distance and allow extra time before the round.
Check dates for your group, or send your hosts a question about the Lodge and the Lost Sierra.
