Long days out. Evenings you do not have to hurry.
Summer opens up the Lost Sierra’s biggest menu of possibilities: mountain golf, trails through the Lakes Basin, a shoreline picnic, a village afternoon, or music in the meadow. Build the stay around a few outings everyone is excited about, then leave enough space to enjoy being here.
At the Lodge: Bring the day back to the Lodge. Fire up the barbecue, spread dinner across the outdoor table, play cornhole or putt toward the baskets, and let the evening find its own pace. The hot tub, pool table, and gathering rooms give the group plenty of ways to reconnect after different daytime adventures.
Make it a lake afternoon. The Mill Pond offers an easy village-and-water pairing; use the lake guide for swimming, rentals, and access details.
Choose a mountain outing. Pick a short waterfall walk or a bigger hike from the trail guide once roads and trail conditions allow.
Give the day a softer landing. Browse the red buildings, fit in a meal or mini golf, and check whether there is music nearby.
A day to borrow: Coffee on the deck before the group heads out; Golf, a lake visit, or the trail you have been saving; A treat in Graeagle or a local music stop; Barbecue, outdoor games, and a relaxed Lodge evening
Host tip: Do not try to fit a lake, a summit, a golf round, and a concert into the same day. One great anchor outing leaves more room for the parts of a group trip that happen between plans.
Reserve the golf rounds, rentals, meals, or special experiences that matter most to the group.
Check heat, smoke, road access, and fire restrictions near your travel dates; keep an alternative day in mind.
Mountain water stays cold, and weather can change quickly. Choose the outing and equipment for your group’s abilities.
Summer brings Independence Day, the county fair, arts and crafts, cycling festivals, and seasonal live music.
