Little red buildings. A whole afternoon to wander.
Graeagle is the outing for a day that does not need a strict itinerary. Browse independent shops beneath the pines, stop for lunch, and let the Mill Pond pull you toward the water. The village’s old lumber-town character remains part of its appeal, even when the only plan is a good coffee and a look around.
Look a little closer
Browse a changing mix of local art, gifts, clothing, and mountain-town shops.
Build in a meal or a treat, with the food guide helping you choose a stop.
Walk toward the Mill Pond or add mini golf when seasonal activities are operating.
Host tip: Choose one anchor—a lunch reservation, mini golf, or time at the pond—and leave the rest open. This is a lovely counterpoint to a day when the group has been chasing trail miles or golf scores.
Getting there: Begin around downtown Graeagle on Highway 89. Use the local merchant map to choose any must-visit shops, then check those businesses individually. Allow more time for parking on event and holiday weekends.
Before you go: Shops, restaurants, and activities keep independent hours. Take care along and across Highway 89. Bring towels and water supplies if the outing might become a lake afternoon, and use the separate Mill Pond guide for water access and rentals.
