Graeagle
A towel, a picnic, and a whole afternoon in the heart of Graeagle.
LOCAL PHOTOGRAPH / THE LOST SIERRA
The Mill Pond is the easy answer when your group wants time beside the water without making the drive the main event. Lawn, shade, picnic tables, and a village setting make it simple to move between a swim, a paddle, and a walk through Graeagle. Choose this for a flexible outing with different ages and energy levels.
At the water: Swim from a suitable shoreline entry or explore by nonmotorized kayak, canoe, or paddleboard. The Graeagle Outpost offers seasonal rentals; confirm equipment and operating hours before building your day around them.
Getting there: Park in town and use established pond access. Bring shade, water, towels, and a picnic; follow posted swimming and pet rules.
Host tip: Start with coffee at the Outpost, spend the warm part of the day by the pond, and leave room for a Frostee stop.
Before you go: Rental availability and services change with the season. This is natural water: supervise children closely and check conditions on arrival.
