What the community makes, grows, raises, and celebrates.
The county fair is a fuller outing: local exhibits, livestock, food, entertainment, and carnival programming bring the region together at the Quincy fairgrounds. It is especially appealing for a family group that wants a change of pace from lakes and trails and is happy to make a proper afternoon or evening of it.
Pick the exhibits or entertainment your group most wants to see from the current program.
Check admission, ride arrangements, and any specific event tickets before arriving.
Give quieter exhibits a little time alongside the busier midway and food stops.
Host tip: Set a comfortable arrival time and choose one or two must-see activities. A fair is more enjoyable when there is room for a snack, an exhibit nobody expected to like, and a break for the younger members of the group.
The fairgrounds are at 204 Fairgrounds Road, Quincy. Plan for the longer drive from the Lodge, weather, parking, and the return after evening activities. The operator prohibits pet dogs at the fairgrounds, with specific exceptions; check current visitor guidance.
