LOCAL PHOTOGRAPH / THE LOST SIERRA
A different kind of trail—through art, agriculture, and a working valley.
The Art + Ag Trail opens a window onto Sierra Valley through participating ranches, historic sites, artists, and local producers. Instead of one festival ground, the day unfolds across a mapped collection of host sites. Choose the stops that interest you and let the landscape become part of the experience.
Download the current host-site map and choose a manageable route before leaving.
Look for the year’s artist demonstrations, agricultural interpretation, and family activities.
Visit only participating sites during their event access hours; working ranches remain private property outside those arrangements.
Host tip: Choose a few stops you are excited about instead of trying to finish the whole map. That leaves time for conversations with makers and hosts—the part that makes the day different from a scenic drive.
Locations, ticket arrangements, opening hours, and special activities change with each edition. Do not use a previous year’s site list as permission to enter. Allow driving time between stops and ask about access needs at individual sites.
