An easy addition to a Quincy day
The idea
Keep the round relaxed. Make a day of Quincy.
The experience
Pioneer’s nine permanent baskets sit in a mostly flat, lightly wooded community park. It is a friendly place for a first round or a mixed-skill group, while tree placement still gives returning players something to work on. Its real strength for Lodge guests is the pairing: a short round within a larger Quincy outing.
A note from your hosts
Choose Pioneer when Quincy is already on the day’s itinerary. Keep the round light, then head into town for lunch, shops, or a museum stop. Check the local club’s calendar if you would rather join a community round—or avoid a busy event.
Arrival
Head to Pioneer Park at 1300 Pioneer Road in Quincy, near Fairgrounds Road. Use the current course map to locate the first tee. Alternate tees may be used for events; nine permanent baskets does not mean a separate eighteen-basket course.
Conditions
Allow around an hour for casual play, plus the longer drive from the Lodge. Park activities and league events can change how busy it feels. Restroom availability is seasonal; bring drinking water and check current park and course conditions.
Make a day of it
Combine a morning or afternoon round with a Quincy meal and a wander around town. This is the community-course choice, rather than a reason to rush past everything else Quincy offers.
