Graeagle’s signature descent. About 8–9 mi; Intermediate · sustained descent.
LOCAL PHOTOGRAPH / THE LOST SIERRA
Purpose-built singletrack drops from the Mills Peak lookout area through pines, shaped turns, and embedded rock. Its flowing character is a draw, while sustained descending rewards confident bike handling.
Distance: About 8–9 mi
Effort: Intermediate · sustained descent
Climbing/descending: Nearly 3,000 ft descending
Allow: 1½–3 hr riding
From the Lodge: About 15 min to lower access
Bike: Dependable mountain bike
Plan: Arrange a confirmed shuttle or second vehicle and match your map to the upper and lower access. The trail finishes near Gold Lake Highway and Highway 89; shuttle availability needs direct confirmation.
Host tip: Pause at the lookout before dropping into the forest. Let the view give the ride a sense of place.
Before you ride: Shared, bidirectional trail. Intermediate terrain can feel advanced with speed, fatigue, rocks, or exposure.
