A whole lake, at your own pace. About 19 mi; Easy skills · moderate stamina.
LOCAL PHOTOGRAPH / THE LOST SIERRA
This mixed-surface circuit joins relatively approachable trail with gravel roads around Lake Davis. Its appeal is the sustained lake day: pine forest, open shore, wildlife, and plenty of reasons to stop.
Distance: About 19 mi
Effort: Easy skills · moderate stamina
Climbing/descending: About 470 ft
Allow: 2–4 hr + stops
From the Lodge: 20–30 min
Bike: Gravel bike or hardtail
Plan: Download the exact loop and selected starting point. Navigation matters where singletrack joins roads; every rider needs to be prepared for the full distance.
Host tip: Bring lunch and give the quieter shoreline time. This is a lake outing with bicycles, not just a training loop.
Before you ride: Technically gentle does not mean short. Wind, distance, and changing surfaces can make the circuit demanding. Check e-bike permission for every segment.
