LOCAL PHOTOGRAPH / THE LOST SIERRA
A little woodland strategy. A very good place to finish.
Nine holes weave through the Brewing Lair’s forested fifteen-acre property, with trees and gentle elevation changes shaping the throws. It is an easy way to give a brewery afternoon a little more adventure, whether everyone keeps score or simply enjoys the walk.
Play first, then settle into the beer garden. The wooded lines reward a controlled throw more than a big, hopeful one. Check the day’s opening hours and food availability before building lunch around the visit.
The brewery is at 67007 Highway 70 in Blairsden. The course is on private brewery property and is available during business hours. Check the brewery’s current schedule rather than assuming daily access.
Expect uneven forest ground, slopes, and tree-lined throws. Wear shoes with traction and keep the group behind each thrower. Leashed dogs are welcome under the brewery’s rules. Food trucks and service vary with the season.
Pair it with Portola Riverwalk for twenty-seven holes across two different settings. Prefer a shorter day? Make these nine holes the main event and linger over food or a local pour afterward.
