❄️ Winter Travel & Snow Removal Notice ❄️ This is a mountain property, snow and winter weather are part of the experience! If booking between November and April, please be prepared for winter conditions. A 4WD or AWD vehicle with snow tires and/or chains may be required depending on weather. No refunds will be given for weather, snow depth, or road conditions. Our standard cancellation policy applies. Snow removal services are included in the nightly rate and will be initiated when accumulation exceeds 6 inches. This includes plowing of the driveway and road access as needed. Decks and walkways will be shoveled when accumulation exceeds 4 inches. For lighter snowfall, snow shovels are provided for guest use. Please note: Guests assume responsibility for their own safety while navigating snow and ice. We are not liable for injuries resulting from slips, falls, or shedding snow from roofs. Use caution and appropriate footwear in all outdoor areas during winter months. ------------ Early Check-In / Late Check-Out Upgrade – $100 Enhance your stay with an extra 4 hours of relaxation—either early check-in or late check-out (based on availability). This option is available for $100 with adequate notice and clear communication. Focused on one-night mid-week stays. Guests with longer stays please inquire! ------------ Cleaning Fee – $250 A standard cleaning fee of $250 applies to all reservations. For stays longer than 8 nights, a mid-stay cleaning is required on the 9th day for an additional $250 (more details in rental agreement). ------------ Dog-Friendly Stay – $50 per Dog We welcome well-behaved dogs (up to 2). A pet fee of $50 per dog per stay applies. An unauthorized animal fee of $500 will be charged to guests who bring pets without prior approval. ------------ 🏡 Our Story & Local Connections This is more than just a vacation rental—it’s our family home. Built by my parents (with a little help) in the late 1980s, renting it out seasonally allows us to keep this special place in the family. Our roots in the Lost Sierra date back to the 1800s, and we have deep connections within the community. We love sharing the best of Portola, Graeagle, and beyond—from amazing local food, breweries, parks, and hiking trails to in-home services like yoga, bartending, and catering. To make planning easy, we've put all our favorite local recommendations into a digital guidebook—yours as soon as you book your stay. Reserve now and start planning your perfect getaway!
